The mighty SUV brand Land Rover is all set to launch the 2016 edition of the Range Rover Evoque SUV in November this year and dealers across the country have officially started the bookings for the model. The facelift gets several tweaks to the interior and exterior tweaks over its predecessor adding a fresh new look to the funky SUV. On the outside, the 2016 Evoque gets striking new elements like refreshed bumpers, larger air intakes, new grille, full LED adaptive headlights, new tailgate spoiler and refreshed alloy wheels.
The biggest change seen on the 2016 Range Rover Evoque is the completely new all-aluminium 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, Ingenium TD4 turbocharged diesel engine, which is expected to be 20-30 kg lighter than its predecessor and will be offered in two power options namely -150 BHP and 180 BHP. There will also be a petrol version packing the Si4 turbocharged unit capable to generate a good 240 BHP and capable of hitting a 0-100 kmph in 7.6 seconds with the top speed being 217 kmph.
Inside the cabin, the Range Rover facelift gets new seats, door casings, a new infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen system, an 825 Watt Meridian surround sound system with 17 speakers, fixed panoramic roof with a powered blind, key-less entry, electric tailgate, cruise control, automatic headlamps, leather interiors, 12-way electrically adjustable driver and passenger seats with lumbar support and memory.
The new Range Rover Evoque facelift will also come loaded with safety features like the Lane Keeping Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking system (AEB), Dynamic Stability Control, Attention Assist Estimation, Park Assist, a Surround Camera System with Towing Assist, Blind Spot Monitor with Closing Vehicle Sensing and Reverse Traffic Detection. Prices will be revealed at the time of launch.
