The Huayra BC is a thoroughly stripped down and a lightened beast, completely bespoke and Italian in nature!
The Pagani Huayra was Horacio Pagani’s replacement for the mystical Zonda, a car that made its way to the hyper-car club in a world dominated by the likes of Ferrari and Lamborghini. The Huayra is the second derivation of the breed and definitely pushes all boundaries in terms of sheer exclusivity and style. The Huayra BC promises all the ideals of the Pagani marquee along with a significant bump in performance.
The Huayra BC is powered by AMG’s 6.0-litre V12 bi-turbo, which has been tuned to deliver 789 bhp and 811 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an all-new seven-speed Xtrac automated manual transmission. It is driven through a signature Le Mans prototype-derived tripod drive shafts to the rear wheels. The twin turbocharged V12 has a distinct soundtrack with all the spooling and churning. Although not as refined as the older naturally aspirated motors, but it still is a proper fire breathing beast. The Huayra BC has been significantly lightened with the help of an all new titanium quad exhaust system, Forged APP wheels and brand new suspension system made of aeronautical grade aluminium. The BC also features a new generation carbon fibre material that is exclusive to Pagani. The end result is simple, the Huyara BC is a staggering 132 kgs lighter than the standard car.
The new BC makes use of extensive aero elements. The Huayra BC features a brand new super aggressive front and rear splitter, giving the BC a deadly purposeful stance, almost prototype-racer like! There’s also a new carbon fiber spoiler to keep the tail in check. The new aero package on the BC adds tremendous amount of down force to an already brilliant handling hyper car.
The Huayra BC will trap you in its beauty, once you enter its cabin. The interior features deep red leather, anthracite suede and matte carbon fibre which gives it proper super car pantomime! It features some brilliant concepts with absolute attention given to every detail. The naked gear linkage from the standard car is also featured here and remains one of the most beautiful mechanical sculptures of all time. The Huayra BC maintains the extremely high standards of craftsmanship that sets Paganis apart from all other cars in the world.
Coming to the history of the car’s name: It begins with a man named Benny Caiola who was a reputed car-collector, but unfortunately passed away in 2010. He was also Horacio Pagani’s first customer, friend and mentor. To pay respect to the man, Pagani has decided to embellish the body of the new Huayra with ‘BC’, hence giving way to the name, Pagani Huayra BC.
Only 20 examples will be made, and each one will cost you a whopping $2.7 million dollars. And the surprising part is – all of them have already been booked! Definitely a disappointment for people who want to buy it now. Although, if you’re one of those lucky owners, we assure you, it’s an investment well made!
