We all know that American icon Jeep will be making its Indian debut by next year and will bring along a host of offerings including the Grand Cherokee, Wrangler and even the smaller Renegade to the country. With a few more months still left, those who’ve been wanting buy these off-roading beauties can surely feast themselves on the Mopar accessorized versions that are put up on display at the 66th Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ parts and accessories arm Mopar has kitted up the Jeeps with extensive level of customization specially for the motor show.
Kicking up some dust is the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Sunriser that comes with a matte orange paint job in addition to the specially designed bumpers fitted with a double tow hook at the front, off-road wings, a 4-inch suspension lift kit and the very utilitarian half doors. There is also an engine skid plate and beadlock wheels that highlight the rugged stance of the off-roader.
Helping the model stand out more effectively are the additional LED lights fitted between the A-pillar and windscreen. There are also LED daytime running lights and LED tail lights. The interior gets customized in black leather with matte fluorescent orange trim complementing the body work. Power on the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Sunriser comes from a 2.8-litre diesel engine, paired to a 5-speed manual transmission.
Moving to the more luxurious set of things, the specially prepped Jeep Grand Cherokee KrawLer is based on the Trailhawk version and gets a true rugged stance with plenty of upgrades. The Cherokee KrawLer features a raised ground clearance to allow for extreme off-road use, and a special Mopar off-road suspension setup, wider wings, skid plates and platforms under the doors. The tyres have been upgraded to knobbier BF Goodrich KM2 255/80/17 off-road rubber.
As a tribute to brand Jeep’s heritage, the Grand Cherokee KrawLer is finished in matte green paint job and gets quartz grey detailing on the exterior and interior. In terms of power, the SUV uses a 3.2-litre Pentastar V6 engine under the hood producing 272 HP, paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission. You also get the Jeep Active Drive Lock 4-Wheel Drive functio with low range and rear differential lock.
Lastly, the baby Jeep Renegade is also a TrailHawk and comes loaded with Mopar accessories including underbody skid plates, two rear tow hooks, black mirror caps and Anvil body color. The interiors are upgraded with sporty pedals and Jeep design mats all coming from Mopar. The tyres are wrapped on 17-inch aluminium alloy wheels. For those saving their hard earned moolah for these off-roaders, a bit extra on some personalization won’t hurt. We are sure you have already some ideas in your head.
