Prior to its official unveiling at the Paris Motor Show, an image of the Lexus UX silhouette has surfaced on the internet.
The Lexus stable currently consists of two SUV models, the RX and NX. The UX concept hints at a third breed of SUVs to christen the Japanese manufacturer’s line-up. The Lexus UX concept also highlights the future design philosophy that the brand will follow for their next generation models. Even with this single image, the distinctive new styling elements are clearly visible.
The Lexus UX is expected to be a compact SUV concept. It is very aggressive and funky in its design elements. The highly flared wheel arches make way for uniquely designed rims that are fitted with tyres that feature a rather strange tread pattern.
The rear tail lamp is a single piece that extends across and takes inspiration from the LF-NX concept. Designed by the Lexus European Design centre, the UX has elements from previous generation concepts. Sadly it’s hard to judge a concept from just a single angle, but from what we can see in this photo, the UX concept is a striking looking car.
Details regarding the powertrain and possible launch dates are currently unknown to us. We expect the UX concept to be the headline for Lexus at the Paris Motor Show where we should get a comprehensive understanding of this new concept. Until then, let us know your thoughts on this radical new Lexus concept.
