    Jeep Wrangler Unlimited showcased at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo

    Indians have been using the term “Jeep” since ages; referring to a soft-top 4×4 off-roader with huge tyres, rugged looks and sharp edges. Basically, anything that looks like a Jeep Wrangler!
    We have seen that happen with the Suzuki Gypsy and the Mahindra Thar.
    All these “Jeep” fans in India will now be thrilled to know, that the real Jeep is now coming to India!
    FCA is bringing the legendary and iconic brand – Jeep to this diverse land, and it has showcased some of its very best at the 2016 Auto Expo. You can find the Wrangler Unlimited, Grand Cherokee and the Grand Cherokee SRT at the pavillion of Jeep at the Motor Show. These three cars are going to be launched and will be available with the dealers soon, probably in the first half of 2016. The brand has also showcased a Mopar accessorized Jeep Wrangler.

    Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

     

    The first thing that comes to your mind when you see the Jeep Wrangler, is that it is – Huge!  It is 1801 mm tall, 3881 mm long, 1872 mm wide. It boasts a wheelbase of 2423 mm, and a ground clearance of 261.62 mm. The Wrangler is packed with some exciting features – 2 one-touch power windows, remote keyless power door locks, trip computer, a compass, an external temperature display and cruise control. The Wrangler scores some additional brownie points, credits to its electrochromatic inside rear-view mirror, Alpine premium brand speakers and Bluetooth wireless data link for hands-free phone.

    The Jeep Wrangler features a heavy duty Diesel engine in India, which pumps out a peak power of 200 HP and 460Nm of Torque. This engine is mated to an efficient as well as responsive 5-Speed Automatic Transmission. The Wrangler gives you supreme off-roading capabilities with the help of Jeep’s Command-Trac 4×4 system. It boasts a fuel capacity of a mammoth 70 litres, allowing you to go on reallyyy long road trips without any worries.

    Jeep has taken extra care when it comes to the safety features. The car is paced with 4-wheel ABS, Engine immobilizer, Stability control, Post-collision safety system and Remote anti-theft alarm system. The Wrangler will surely create some waves of excitement in the Indian market, and is looking to mark the entry of Jeep in India in style.

     

    Mopar accessorized Jeep Wrangler

     

    Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ parts and accessories arm Mopar has kitted up the Jeeps with extensive level of customization, giving you the ultimate freedom of making the car look exactly like you want. This particular Mopar accessorized model was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, and it made the much deserved bold statement for the brand – Jeep.
