You just cannot leave the Detroit Motor Show without casting your eye and drooling at the 2017 Ford GT, which was enveloped in a stark white colour. One of the best cars that were showcased this week, this one has just lifted our hearts out for it. In league with the European exotics, Ford has engineered a supercar for the first time since its 2005 version. With many exciting features that will push you to the edge to purchase this one, this will clearly live on as one of Ford’s masterpieces.
Matt Leaver from Ford Performance Communications says that the wing goes up as the vehicle increases speed and there’s an air brake mode for that wing when the car is in the race mode. When this mode is engaged, transmission programming, steering weight, traction control, stability control and suspension settings all become more intense. Now, who wouldn’t adore a marvel like that? And while at high speeds, you feel like answering calls (We pray, you don’t) or listening to music, Ford SYNC will help you to control the navigation directions, music, and make calls using the touch screen display.
When Ford Daytona-winning sports racer was introduced, we fell in love with its engine. Thus, the ford has created the GT’s 3.5-liter V6 engine created directly from that car. It pumps out an output of 650 HP when set on a laser-quick rear-wheel-drive and double-clutch transmission. The front and rear are all created out of aluminium, and the rest is an all-carbon-fibre body. A more durable gorilla glass has been used to replace traditional glass as the windshield, thus reducing weight.
To go on sale next year with a price tag of Rs. 2.71 crores (Definitely not the kind of money I carry around in my wallet!), it will attract a huge crowd to its showrooms. Only fewer than 1000 will be made, so get in line!
