    2016 Jaguar’s F-Pace SUV gets The F-Type Chassis

Automobile world is set on fire nowadays with all automakers planning to make crossovers. This time its the 80 year old manufacturer Jaguar that is preparing its first-ever SUV based on the F-Type and will have several elements from the F-Type sportscar. The F-Pace is expected to go on sale by early 2016 globally with a price tag of around Rs. 50 lakhs and will make its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show this month, two years after it made it was first seen as the C-X17 concept at the same motor show in 2013.

The spy images reveal a lot about the new Jaguar F-Pace while the company marks the offering with a ‘sports crossover’ badge. The new SUV shares a lot from the concept model but gets a great amount of metal work that it will be shared with the sportscar. Jaguar has taken this SUV very seriously to make it a driver-focused machine. We say this because, the interiors are newly done, keeping a huge chunk of the aesthetics as that of the concept.

The Jaguar F-Pace comes with several technology systems to improve the ride and handling with elements such as a torque vectoring combined with torque-on-demand, all-wheel drive
, an electric power-assisted system among others that makes the crossover capable of responding to even the smallest input. The suspension setup includes a double wishbone front suspension and integral link rear suspension system. Outside, the crossover commands some superb muscular haunches with the iconic Jaguar bonnet lines and strongly raked front and rear windscreen.

The Jaguar F-Pace SUV gets some serious performance credentials featuring red brake calipers, two large tailpipes and chunky alloy wheels as seen in the pictures. The supercharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine is expected to be the most powerful version and if things go as planned, there are chances that the supercharged 5.0-litre petrol V8 from the F-Type and Range Rover SVR will also compliment the F-Pace. The automaker will also introduce the new four-cylinder Ingenium petrol and diesel engines that came along with the XE.

The F-Pace will be made at Jaguar’s new Solihull plant and to a further surprise, the brand has some great pieces of work like the F-Pace under considerations that are yet to come. With Jaguar luring people with this, it’s sure to get itself placed somewhere at a higher space in the market.
