If you are one of those who have a penchant for ravens, Porsche has launched something very special for you. The German automaker has launched a new special Porsche 911 Carrera Black Edition in India and takes the classy lines and the modern-retro design of the sports car on the top by a notch. But what makes the Black Edition so special you ask? If you haven’t guessed it yet, the Stuttgart based manufacturer is offering the combination of several colour options on the exterior and interior as long as it is in the shade of black.
The new 911 Carrera Black Edition adds some nice feature additions from other models on to the rear-engined beauty and is available in coupe and convertible versions. In terms of power, the Porsche 911 Carrera Black Edition uses the 3.4-litre flat six-cylinder engine that produces 350 HP with power being sent to the rear-wheel or all four wheels. This special ‘Black’ edition model runs on 20-inch Carrera classic wheels and gets incorporated with the Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+) and LED headlights. The door sill guards are also enhanced with ‘Black Edition’ lettering to indicate this special series.
On the inside, the 911 Carrera Black Edition gets covered in the very exotic looking black shade and gets heated front sports seats, Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation module, automatically dimming rear-view mirrors, rain sensor and cruise control, all of which are available as standard and come from the 911 Carrera models. The seats also get embossed with the Porsche crest and in case you are fond of listening to fake engine sounds on a regular basis apart from the usual Blues genre, the excellent Bose Surround Sound System is on offer to satiate your aural needs. There is a Sport design steering wheel that is being offered as well.
Keeping the operations less tiresome for the driver, the Porsche 911 Carrera Black edition gets the telephone module and Park Assist feature at front and rear, which also includes a reversing camera. Not available as yet in India, the Porsche is also offering the Black Edition on the Boxster S internationally shares most of the features with the 911 Carrera Black Edition. Moving to India, the German auto giant has not revealed the prices of the Black Edition as yet, but if you live life by the stealth mode, the Black special edition certainly needs to be a part of your garage and all four models are available for order immediately.
